Childhood Obesity


Childhood obesity is a serious medical condition that affects children and adolescents.  Childhood obesity is increasing rapidly; therefore, effective treatment of obese children is essential to prevent the effects of obesity into adulthood.  This website provides educators and parents with information on prevention and treatment including diet and exercise.

  1. The article entitled "A Growing Problem" made some very good points about the issue of obesity. Physical education is not a priority in many schools. There is less access to healthy affordable foods, and safe and appealing places to play and be active are scarce in many communities today. This is definitely a growing problem that doesn't appear to be going away anytime soon.
