Special Education




Parents have a duty to be an advocate for their children.  This website is a great resource for parents who want to learn about the special education process, their rights, and the rights of their children.  Also, specific exceptionalities for parents to research are identified.

  1. I am currently taking a class on special education and the guidelines that IDEA mandate are so helpful to parents of special need children. Many times parents are just not aware of the procedures that their child is entitled too.

It includes: 1.Exceptional Children and Disability Information, 2.Special Education and the Law for Parents, 3.Resources for Parents, 4.Transition Services - Information for Parents. I consider advocating for special needs children and helping parents part of the job
